Course content
• General knowledge of the fiber optic network in a premises • To determine the most suitable paths for installation of micro ducts • To install, splice and terminate micro ducts • Installation of fibers in micro ducts using a fiber-blowing tool • To splice and organize fibers in a fusion splicer • Documentation of the completed network

Installers of Ericsson Ribbonet® technology, network owners and project organizers.

Previous qualifications
Experience in fusion splicing.

Objectives
On completion of the course the participant should be able to install and document networks based on the Ericsson Ribbonet® concept. On completion of the course a certificate will be issued.

2 days. Theory and practical work are combined.

Content/modules
Station 1 • Insertion of ribbon in splicing cabinet • Splicing 4 to 2x2 Station 2 • Blowing of 2-fiber EFPU-ribbon equivalent of 200 m
Station 3 • Connecting the multi duct to splicing cabinet • Insertion of multi duct in ODF • Splicing of indoor-multi duct, straight joint
Station 4 • Splicing of outdoor multi duct, out-branching of 2 micro ducts • Splicing of outdoor micro duct
